A quick weekend getaway, with a little sunshine, lots of good food and some amazing football.
We travelled to Barcelona and were met by Kerry's brother Randy. My fabulous girlfriend had got us all tickets to the
Barcelona-Real Madrid game on Saturday night for Christmas. We wandered around Barcelona and saw some great
sites, but the highlight was 100,000 fans packed into the Nou Camp cheering and singing for Barcelona. Although the
game ended in a draw 1-1, it was still thrilling to see the likes of Ronaldinho, Etoo, Zidane, Roberto Carlos, David
Beckham and Ronaldo in action together on one pitch (not to mention our visit to the VIP lounge as well!)
We rented a fabulous renovated loft apartment in the old city centre of Barcelona, right next to the marina and the sea,
where we lounged in total comfort when we weren't out seeing the city.
